THE STORY BEHIND DAY ONE
I spent too long
saying “one day.”
A web designer. An unfinished journey. A decision to stop putting life on hold.
WHY I STARTED
Something had
to change.
For years, I worked long hours for too little pay. There was always another deadline, another late night, another reason to deal with my own wellbeing later.
“One day” became a convenient place to put the things that mattered: looking after my health, valuing my work and making room for a more grounded life.
Day One of One Day is my decision to stop waiting for the ideal moment. To begin with what I have, where I am, and be honest about the process.
WHY DOCUMENT IT?
The process
is worth sharing.
I don’t want to wait until everything looks impressive to tell the story. The useful parts are often the ordinary ones: a change of plan, a difficult day, a lesson I would otherwise forget.
This is a faceless journal. The focus is on actions, environments, writing and reflection — a life being worked on, rather than a personal highlight reel.
WHAT I WANT THIS SPACE TO STAND FOR
Honesty. Discipline.
Faith. Sustainability.
Real experience over impressive claims. Small actions over all-or-nothing plans. A Christian foundation. Changes I can keep living with.
WHAT “ONE DAY” MEANS TO ME
A direction.
Not a deadline.
A healthier, more balanced and more intentional life is something I want to move towards. I can’t promise how quickly I’ll get there. I can choose what I do with today.
